  • SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) – SAPs evaluate employees who have violated a Department of Transportation drug and alcohol regulation and make recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.  SAPs must meet a variety of requirements, including specialized credentials and training.  Information regarding SAPs can be found on the Department of Transportation SAP webpage.

  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) -- Nevada MFTs are licensed by the Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors.  These counselors hold at least a Master's degree in counseling or related field with special training in marriage and family therapy. MFTs must pass a written and oral exam.  Licensed MFT Interns have passed the Board Exams and the oral exam and are completing the required internship hours under the supervision of a licensed AAMFT approved MFT supervisor.

  • LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) -- Nevada LADCs are licensed by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug, and Gambling Counselors.  These counselors hold at least a Master's degree in counseling or related field and have specific training and supervision hours in alcohol and drug abuse counseling.  LADCs must pass a written and oral exam.
